LOOKING COOL WHILE YOUR BRAIN IS BEING STIMULATED ELECTRICALLY
Cranial electrical stimulation has been tested for years with a variety of devices for a variety of symptoms. It is well-tolerated and generally safe. The FDA has recently approved use of such a device that is built into a set of noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphones!

The wearer also has the option of listening to music or using the noise-cancelling feature during the stimulation. It’s controlled by an app on a smart phone, requires a prescription, and retails for $695.

The approved uses—insomnia, anxiety, depression—affect 20% of the general population, a huge market of it proves successful. Full disclosure: I’m not an investor. The device is called Cervella. It’s bulky but not particularly creepy looking and, sadly, comes in only one color.
